Beginning in a humble Class-A Cargo container in the Asher system in Y19, the Sarlacc Pit was opened by businessjawa Kolomon Seph as an electronics haberdashery, droid refurbishment boutique, and weapons emporium. Steadily growing at a rapid pace, the one Jawa and three droid crew quickly outgrew the improvised workshop and moved into a facility in the deep space of the Thesme sector. Realizing the upstart company was growing faster than even the most magnificent of Jawa engineers and armorsmiths such as himself could handle, Kolo began reinvesting in the Sarlacc Pit at an exponential rate.
Priding the Pit on its entrepreneurial roots, Kolomon bought up fledgling armor companies, up-and-coming weapons manufacturers, and small local starship construction organizations the majority of which were owned by small sentients and non-humans, while allowing the original creators to continue their development. Creating a brain trust based on the tenets of profitability and shared knowledge across all facets of the company, Kolo hired numerous engineers, smiths, scientists and fabricators to push the collective designs and inventions to the limit. Notably Jawa genius and aerospace engineer, Dr. Ines A. Styne, also holds a seat at this distinguished table.
The moon of Chenini located in the Tatoo system has undergone stringent terraforming and industrialization to house the main operations of SID and its various sub-companies and employees and will serve as the central trade hub for the conglomerate.
